Nice Dream

This is the plant I put in my bedroom, usually this is the first thing I see every morning.
It has a very beautiful name "滴水观音", the drop of water you see is natural, selfmade by the plant. Bring people luckiness.
Hope you can see this when you wake up. Lucky new year to you ~

Tile House

This is the kind of bungalow once ubiquitous in the Jiangnan region, but they are not so commonly seen today in the major cities of southern China as a result of the modernization drive during which skycrapers, apartments and all kinds of multi-stored houses built.
This is actually a new bungalow in the xiaohe street, it's empty and serves as a tourist site.

HZ Kids

Back to where I come from!
Freeeeeedomom...

Stop following me...

Ok...I'll let you take a photo, you're so troublesome...

Hey, sister, what are you doing?

Loooook, I'm a great dancer!
I took these photo several days ago when we were in the Left Bank, I was thrilled to find so many kids there because usually I 'm 'unable' to take kids' photos, they run away too fast, or they just put on a facial expression like the kid in the third photo...you need to be cheeky enough to follow them to grab a shot.
But I'm doing a good job, right? They look so cute~~~

One More

I took the photo at the third floor of the Beixing park restaurant , I was pretty lucky to see this artist surnamed Xu painting there.
The first photo shows the second part of his work series.
So what do you think of chinese paintings, do you like them?

Used Battery For New Bags!

We were at Left Bank(a local community in Gongshu district) this morning, doing some public benefits. I took the photo when my mates were busy gathering people.

Plastic bags have been kicked out by those small and big supermarkets in China, and eco-friendly ones are much more preferred as a result, normally it costs 2 yuan for us to buy one eco friendly bag, but take a look at this, just hand in three used batteries and you can get one for free.

People are pretty excited about this activity, look at our fruitful result, wow~~

Have you been one of them?
(I'll be back in a week, have a happy happy week ahead~)

One More

Taken at the canal, right before the house in the preceding post.
Take care!

Lake-side House

It's getting freezing here, don't forget to do some excersize to keep yourself warm and...be happy, please. Think on the bright side, if it hurts to forget about something, then keep it. Misery can make us grow.
This is an empty riverside house, just for decoration.
Taken @ Xiaohe street in the early autumn this year.
I'll be back in a week.

Undetachable

I took the photo a couple of days ago at Westlake. Willow without leaves looks a little ...
We've been asked about some phylosophical questions again and again for a whole week, here's one of them ( I guess it's the simplest one our funny Marxism teacher threw to us)
What do you think about those suicide bombers? What makes them so 'detached'?
I guess the reason is that they have nothing to lose, they're poor, they're widow and widowers, they're religious extremes. When you're afraid of losing things, you can't be detached.
I'm afraid of losing, that's why I believe the willow looks better with leaves, but when it has to lose, we can do nothing but accept, hey, it doesn't look so terrible, right? and somehow beautiful!
When the summer comes, the willow can see the green leaves again~

Keep Going, Keep Going

I think this is a brand new weeeek, I'm a born optimist, so, nothing big deal~
I took the photo several days ago, it's always interesting to see the sharp contrast between environment protection and economic development.
Hmmmm, have a great week ahead, my friends.

Rooftop View

I took the photo at the rooftop of our apartment several days ago, walked around for a while and sat down near a solar energy thermal board, huhu, don't worry, it's not dangerous at all, didn't know it's so interesting to hold a panoramic view of the place you walk through everyday~
And yes, good news for drivers these days as the gas prices continue to plummet, but...we still prefer more walk and I ride to my college everday on that road, the one you see in this photo, 20 minutes ride everday and that keeps me away from obesity and sickness.
What about you? Still driving to a local store that only reqire 10 minutes walk?
Take a rest and have a nice weekend~~~

Gong-chen Bridge

Hello there!! Sorry I come back to the 21st century again, hmmm, just two days and I'm missing this site. Tough days on economy, right? So... here I am! Wish you a nice day~~~

A night shot of the Gongchen Bridge. Ooooh, I love the reflection here. (Maybe I'll be back in another two days. )

Hangzhou Alley(4)

A close shot of the alley lamp.
Have a nice weekend!

Hangzhou Alley(3)

Night shot of the Xiaohe street, first built in the late Qing Dynesty.
They've redecorated this alley, and it looks just fantastic, this one was taken with very low ISO, so maybe it looks nicer in the day time.
The street is only 10 minutes walk from the biggest comprehensive supermarket in Hangzhou, Century Lianhua, it's getting cold and I just bought a black cotton sweater there several days ago, it seems lots of people are wearing the same outfit today...
Some wooden achitectures have been here for quite a long time, but lots of them are newly furnished.

Meditation

@ Gongshu Park
Homeworks knock my door again, although I'm told regular sleep is needed. i promise I'll go to sleep before12am tomorrow..
How are you doing today, my friends? Take a rest and imagine you're in this photo...Have a nice day~

Theme Day--Lines

This is the second time HZDP participate in the theme day, also the second photo of HZDP's alley series.
I took the photo at Xiangjisi Road, I looked up the sky after I stepped out a store and saw these lines crossing the sky.
These electric lines have been there for decades, and some of them are so old that once triggered a fire.
What about your city? what will you see when you look up into the sky of a city alley?

Hangzhou Alley (1)

Trust me, Hu tong is not unique in Beijing.
In the northern part of China alleys were called "Hutong", in the southern part they were more likely addressed as "Xiang" (sounds a little like 'Shiang', the fourth tone)
Although Hangzhou doesnt have so many alleys as Shanghai does, take a look at this, it does have some typical households alleys.
It's a great fun to live in an alley like this, households here have a much closer relationship with their neighbors than those who 'lock' themselves in apartments.
This must be a new alley, I know some Xiangs in Hangzhou that can be traced back to Ming and Qing dynasties, and they look just fantastic, hmmm, Monday and Tuesday are pretty boring, right? You just need to pull yourself together...
I have some really good shots tomorrow, don't worry, I'm sure you'll like it.

Reed Field

In a field of reeds @ Gudang
I think I have departured from the typical Hangzhou flavor for quite a few posts until the last one...
2200 years of history would never fail our expectations for its unique classic beauty.
Therefore, you will see more natural scenes, more cultural sites here, and more lifestyle pics as well.
The 7-day National Holiday has started, and I'll take this period of time to rediscover Hangzhou.

Have a nice Monday!

Yue-Jue-Shu

In the canal sunset, 5 PM
These words are as old as the history of bronze. (Words are newly carved but the literature has a long history)
Taken from the great literature Yue-jueshu, The End Of The Kingdom Of Yue
Btw, can you recognize this man? Really really famous figure in Chinese history..

Imperfect Perfection

@ municipal Hospital No.2

I like this tree, imperfectly perfect, reminding me what my mentor always tell us on our interpretation class: perfection is nothing.
Have a great weekend ! I'll out for more photos tomorrow!
Enn, just received a notice that we have to work during the weekend, that's because we will have a 7 day National Day (10.1 ) holiday, so I'll out after this weekend.

Congratulations!

I took several lib roof photos that day, and this one is a little different from the previous one. It's taken from the same angle but with higher ISO and flashlighted, whick makes it even more metal-feeling and spacecraft-looking.
Just wanna say congratulations to the successful launch of No.7 shenzhou.
Did you watch that?
I knew they're gonna make it so I simply skipped the most nervous part.
See you then!

Ordinary Miracle

Oooooh, it must take her great effort to weave a web like this.
I'm always marveled at their persistence, never give up.

Relax

We cant be more familiar with this river side road, 80% of my canal photos were taken from this narrow path
Hangzhounese love strolling and jogging here. Even just watching the colliers moving in the canal can be such a cosy thing.
and Im really running out of Hangzhou photos . let's wait...
Updated: hmmm, I was trying to slack off for a couple of days , honestly, I do have some plants photos before I really 'running out', so I' ll still keep here going before I out for more Hangzhou pics.

Group Flying

Havent out for photos for quite a long time, this is again one of those old sky photos that I took several days ago.
Well I have a really busy schedual this week, except Friday of course, hmmm, I'll try to take some new shots later this week.
This is not typical Hangzhou flavor, but typical everywhere...make do with it, haha.
Have a nice Monday! Indeeeeeeeed.

Eagle Fly Alone

We never expect to see this kind of aviator in the sky of Hangzhou, at least I was surprised to see him when I took the photo...And lucky this guy that he can fly in a sky without the shadows of high-rise buildings.

This is the Lomo style that I cant love more..hotpixels sometime can create unexpected effect.
If you dont like the this style, I can give you the original pic with less hotpixels :)

In Return.. :)

I took the photo several days ago, this flower is unique in the Jiangnan region, I dont know the name of it, but looks nice, isnt it?
I didn't cut down the original size,3264*2448, do downsize it to 1024*768 if you want to download it, hmm, if you want. All the photos here are free-of-charge. haha
Have a nice weekend!

"No" Sign

I took this photo at a park in Gongshu area, simply because the tree trunks and the leaves go well with the light. And it's funny as the trunks feature an "x", a natural 'No' sign, right in front of a construction site behind the park, that's a "restricted area".
To be honest, I dont even know what tree is this, my guess is a Cinnamomum.

OMooooooon

I took the photo before I went to sleep last night, it's always an interesting thing to see the moon change shape.
Last quarter, New, First quarter,
and...this one-- Full moon, so beautiful.
It would somehow be stupid to ask "how's the moon in your place look like", but Im really curious if the same moon looks different in different regions at the same period of time.
so far as I know, it's the same, haha

Lib at Night

My school lib at night, looks like some spacecraft

(...Well I admit it, the professor stuff, I was just finding excuses for my 'absence', my test really is time-consuming..)

and if you want to see the lib at daytime, you can find it at http://hangzhoudailyphoto.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2008-09-14T20%3A55%3A00%2B08%3A00&max-results=1

Sleep tight, still very happy today.

Autumn Willow

This is how willow looks like in the Autumn,
no longer green, but still beautiful.
Sorry to say it's a little blurred even after I filtered the picture , I used the maximum focal length when I took the photo..
As for the night shot of my school lib that some of you asked for, I'll post it tonight or maybe tomorrow.
Good day to you~

Butterfly In Autumn

I saw this leggy lady on my way home several days ago, I guess this is the best shot I've ever made about a flying object. A little pity here she's not in white which should have distinguished herself from the background.
Haha, have a nice Monday~

True Love

Since I said all the photo here are downloadable, I surely dont want my family Mid-autumn photo to become public, so I changed the previous one to this.

ZUCC

Peter has been asking for my college photos for several times, Ok..I took some during the lunch break, this is the roof of our school lib, and it looks more beautiful at night.

A corner of the campus, well, I should say this is a normal private school, but we all love the freedom it gives us.. your own schedual, your own mentor, your own subjects, whatever, all up to us.
Beside these 'privileges', it's the same with those public schools, we have strict standard of graduation, you have to finish your graduation internship at the third summer, you have to write a report, you have to finish your 160 credits, you have to pass several exams to get a Bachelor’s Degree Certificate of Zhejiang Uni, and the most important, you have to finish your thesis and the thesis defence, which has turned down lots of ill-prepared students.
So have you gotten a main idea of our college life from this short introduction?

........................

I shoot several campus photos today, but better to post them next week.
I took this streliteia leaf several days ago at the grand canal, I guess this is the last sense of summer that I felt.
Mid-autumn day is coming , kinda a big day for Chinese people, because no matter where and how busy you are, you should try your best to reach your friends and loved ones, this is an occasion for reunion.
Have a nice weekend!
