Enn, just received a notice that we have to work during the weekend, that's because we will have a 7 day National Day (10.1 ) holiday, so I'll out after this weekend.

I don't mind imperfections, and I sometimes actually look for them in certain things because they add a lot of character. But this is actually creeping me out a bit — why is that thing shiny? And what is it?

As for the blue spot,honestly, I dont know what it is but I do have a clost shot of the tree, and that shiny part looks like a stone, althougth it sounds stupid and impossible.
I enlarged the photo yesterday and it actually looks metallic to me. Maybe it really is artificial and someone put it there. Why? I have no idea!
