And to answer your question: yes, the Philippines is mostly Catholic, unlike other Asian countries. We were a Spanish colony for three centuries after all. The southern island of Mindanao, however, is mostly Muslim. The terrain is mountainous and the Spaniards never managed to subjugate them.
