A Short Break

Hangzhou has been raining for two weeks. I guess spring is really approaching.
I have to say I'm not romantic enough to bring a heavy camera and take photos in the rain...So HZDP will continue here when the sky stops leaking water.

Blurred Building

I took this photo through the windshield on highway Zhonghe, the blurred image of lines are actually two apartments.
It's very noisy to live alongside the highway, but Hangzhou is also a densely populated city, sometimes people have no choice but to live with "Di-Di-Ba-Ba"s.

Mountain View

This is another photo featuring the misty mountains in the Laohe mountain region.
Although Hangzhou is known for its natural beauty, the lifestyle of Hangzhounese also worth a look into.
So I will try to take more lifestyle photos---sth like shopping malls, pubs, clubs, night markets, bus stops, railways, I guess I'll have more to say about those things.

Broken Bridge

I took this photo several days ago, this bridge names "断桥",literally "broken-bridge", it has a long fairy tale in it. I guess some of you might have heard of this tale before, um..."The white snake"
The hero meet the heroin on this bridge...
Can you have a guess why it's named "broken bridge"? It has sth to do with the snow...

Taken @ Hefang street, the street achitectures are all in ancient style, although the interior of these shops may be not.

You even can see the villages down there.

Wanyuan

This is an old construction near Hefang street.
I guess this was built in the late Qing dynasty when China was in a half-colonial state, so the building is a bit european styled.(this is just my guess)

I was at mountain Beigao this morning. Here is where we start our trip...

Qian Tang Gate

So, this is the old Qian Tang gate which was built 1000 years ago.
Take a look at the backdrop, these shops and pubs were built in less than a decade.
Hmmm, actually I don't think these two fit into each other well. I think the gov should keep the morden constructions a little bit further from these historical sites.

Sky Watch

West lake in this angle...looks like another ocean.
I think the sky in this picture is better taken than the lake.

Lake House

This house has been here for hundreds of years, it was fisrt built in the Northen Song dynasty.

“湖畔居” is its chinese name.
(The house is not that old, it is the Qiantang Gate before this lake house that built in the late Tang and the northen Song dynasty, the house is actually a morden-styled one, there are small Irish pubs and a Casablanca club near the main building.)
